Identification of cellular morphological changes following treatment with oxytetracycline
The aim of the work was to evaluate the mechanical behavior of the membrane of human erythroleukemic K562 cells, commonly used in vitro as a tumor model, following incubation with oxytetracycline (OTC), an antibiotic commonly used in animal husbandry. The mechanical properties of cells can be used as a marker to assess their physiological state, such as the presence of a pathological process or their differentiation phase.
