Clinical evidence of the RENAL ACTIVE diet as valid nutritional support for cats with chronic renal failure
In cats, chronic renal failure can frequently occur after age 9 with an incidence of approximately 10%. In this clinical evaluation 34 proprietary neutered cats suffering from stage II-III chronic renal failure diagnosed according to the guidelines of the International Society for Renal Study (IRIS) randomly received a control diet (n = 17) or a nutraceutical diet (n = 17) for 90 days.
